Transcript from video interview:

A city filled with so many opportunities and adventures for our children to engage in. But how do you make sure we don't miss anything? Today we have Alison Rogers with us, a local mom of three who has launched a brand-new app in Greenville to help all of us find activities for the whole family. All saying, "Alison, I needed Ducklinks back when Will was a kid."

Mom of three, tell me about how you decided to do this. Because you kind of got your hands full as it is.

"Yeah, absolutely. Thanks for having me. So, you know, selfishly, I had this problem that I needed to solve. Our children are four, two, and almost one, and I have a full-time job. I'm an attorney. And then I found that I was spending Sunday afternoons figuring out what our kids were going to do during the week, and I didn’t want another full-time job—I already had one of those. So, we just thought, 'We can do this better.' And that’s how Ducklinks was born."

"That’s how all great things come from—a mom saying, 'I can do this better, and I can make it.' So, what exactly is Ducklinks?"

"Ducklinks is your one-stop shop for all family and kids' activities and events in Greenville. As you mentioned, Greenville has so many fantastic things that you could be doing at any given point. How do you find what's best for your kids and your family? You can go through newsletters, you can go on social media, and that’s a good place to start, right? But then you’re still checking your schedule, seeing if it’s age-appropriate, nearby, and if it really fits your kids’ interests. Ducklinks does the work for you.

"You get to set your filters and say, 'My daughter Gilian is two and loves music. She’s available in the afternoons.' Then it pushes recommendations to you. So instead of you doing the legwork, it does it for you, with customized recommendations for your family."

"It’s so smart because there are so many times I’m like, 'Oh my gosh, this would be a perfect class for Sophie.' And then I’d see it’s on Wednesdays at 9:30 and think, 'Well, she’s in school.'"

"Exactly. And so you can set those times and other considerations. We even go a step further by providing personalized reviews from other Ducklinks moms, parents, or caregivers. They give feedback on how the event was and provide crucial information like whether it’s stroller-friendly, whether the bathrooms are clean, and so on. This helps you feel confident that the activity is right for your family."

"Little things, like how far it is, matter too. If I’m pushing a stroller with three kids, convenience becomes essential."

"Exactly. All of that information is on the app, helping you make confident decisions for your family. Plus, we recently uploaded all of the fall events, so this is the perfect time to get on the app and check out Halloween and fall activities."

"That sounds amazing! How do we sign up?"

"It’s a web-based app. You can access it from your computer or phone. Go to Ducklings.app, create your profile, and enjoy a 30-day free trial. After that, it’s $4.99 a month. We’re also adding exclusive member events and special benefits moving forward."

"This is fantastic, especially for new moms trying to stay on top of things. It’s truly a lifesaver. Follow them on Instagram: @DucklingsGVL."

"Thank you! As Christmas approaches, we’ll have more updates on fun events to share. We’re here to make it easier and smarter to find activities, so you can enjoy that precious time with your children."
